Well isn't this a curious little corner of the web I've stumbled into.
Happy 2019 everyone!

So I'm procrastinating on my reading and I've posted this link on facebook already but I thought the dead fox crowd would like it too. It's a documentary about math called "Dangerous Knowledge." Who knew?
Perhaps we can make the dead fox run again! Since I last posted... perhaps now years ago, many new things have happened.
This is my second week living in London, England where it's reliably dreary and rainy. The city is a tangle of streets that change names without notification and weave into each other without warning. I can't count how many times I've gone in the opposite direction thinking I was certainly going the right way. The practice of losing one's way can be very enjoyable if one doesn't have a specific destination. But such is certainly not the case for me. You see, I've started my PhD. It's a fairly risky undertaking because if I don't succeed in getting additional funding next year, my degree might reach its premature conclusion this summer. In the mean time I'm trying to make it to class on time, find grocery stores, cheap shops, banks, etc. etc. etc.. All the little minor details that sometimes become frustratingly impossible because of the city's opacity.
If I do manage to get more funding, I will eventually wind up with a degree in Humanities and Cultural Studies--an interdiscplinary degree run by Birkbeck College, Tate, Institute of Contemporary Arts, the Science Museum and the Architectural Assocation. The wonderful part of this program is that I'll have the privilege of working with some very powerful and amazing institutions. The downside is that I'll have the challenge of working with institutions that work to canonize sooner than necessarily challenge or subvert. There's always a staidness to monolithic government subsidized culture. Right now I have no clue what I'll be doing within any of those places but I think that will sort itself out.
Oh and what else. My mom got married, I now like dogs (I used to be rather afraid of them except for carpet dog), I still can't drive and I will be in Poland over Christmas so if there's something you want--like moonshine and pickles--let me know!
So I guess the dead Fox is dead. Seems a fair bit had changed and yet stayed the same. For me when we started this I had just finished off school was looking for a job and gotten one in the Western Canadian oil patch. Been working the patch in the field for three & a half yrs now. And sadly that's all it's been. So since no one reads this damn blog anymore I think I may take it over and reflect back on these past 3 years. Probably won't take long, just 1 or 2 posts. What's sad is that over the last 3 yrs I can probably be given a date and could tell you where I was and what I was most likely doing. The answer for most working. Or maybe the laziness and lack of motivation that consumes me now will begin to take over this plan as well. Hopefully it doesn't take over my plan of quitting and getting out of the field. I guess time will tell. & Bro blames the flu but aren't we all to blame?
As the days, weeks and months roll by, I see the landscape of our blog remain unchanged. Be it through other means of communication, or through sheer apathy, this has become obsolete.
Hello those of you in bloggerland. We never write on here anymore and never check it to see if anyone has written anything.
Hey guys! I'm back! I know it's been a long time since I posted to the blog, but I've got a TON of new stuff to talk about and...um...hello?
Oh, how fitting that the long-lingering last post is an anniversary celebration, when the blog is mostly dead. I shed a tear for the dead fox blog, it has served us well.
Hello World!
Star Wars displays.
So everyone -just wanted to pass along the address of Tom's music - I recommend listening to "Three Chords Cello", and "Blue Suede Blues".
So much for the whole "Meat is murder" campaign.
It's that time again.
An Easter Monday favour....
What What - I'm back - my neck's a little sore and in need of a good solid rub and squeeze, er, tug, no really though, a massage would be perfect right about now. Just a little bit of stress at work - had our yearly visit from the food police, and after a little behavioral incident from someone I work with - while they interacted with the inspector, well yeah, he didn't take too kindly to that, he's just doing his job anyways making sure we're all staying clean and safe - which I am 100 percent in support of - remember how often I'll tell you a story of some of our kitchen hi-jinks and, and finish it by saying, "and then we washed our hands" - so yeah, you understand, I care, the inspector cares, and at the end of the day, we were all lovey dovey and falling all over each other and telling each other how we appreciate the effort the other is putting in - no one wants to make a customer sick you know, or create or allow for a scenario where something unhealthy could occur.... I mean, just ask Mr Lister, those burritos did not sit right, not by any means - you know why? Well, good chance there could have been something in the water - Montezuma's Revenge and all. But really - here's what I wanted to bring to everyone's attention... I stumbled across this article, and it is funny, because it talks about a process/act that I have been seeing more and more evidence of out there on the net, even to the point of overhearing about these kind of things from the youngsters I work with - so it is certainly a phenomenon which I am aware of. And in some ways I laud the French government for being so progressive and trying to curb this sort of fad, or behaviour before it becomes the norm, or as the French themselves might say, de riguer. I just hope that yes, they do not become a rigid controlling government - really, who wants to live in Brazil? - well, I would, if only to meet DeNiro as Harry Tuttle, but that's another fairy tale for another bedtime. Any response / reaction from you my peers?
We are always told about the evils of incest / drinking while pregnant or, oh, I dunno, .... shining shoes and now I have seen the proof with my own eyes.
Ok ok, so here we go again, round two of the things which people say or do which make me mad for the world and the people of it.
OK. So. Here's a little something which I just don't get.
So...
Why, hello there.
Internet Impressions.
Well well well,
