An Easter Monday favour....
So for all you non-Polish people, I have a favour to ask. I won't be spending Easter Monday with my family and for all of you who will be, I ask you to follow a long revered Polish tradition in my stead. It's called Smingus Dyngus (pronounced Shmeengoos Dingoos). On Easter Monday, the whole point is to drench family members, friends... and well, anyone... with water! Especially important is to get up before other people in the househould, sneak into their bedrooms, and pour water over their heads so that they wake up in a mad panic. If you don't believe me here is the website.
My father used to wake my up that way. But I got smart. Eventually however, my enthusiasm for the holiday would get me in trouble....

That sounds like tremendous fun. I'll douse my housemates and see what they think.

Yeah it does sound like fun. Makes me wonder why none of us got drenched by you on Easter Monday. Hmm me thinks that you were out drenching your real friends while the rest of us were blissfully dry and unaware of how you much you didn't care for us. Or maybe it just me that didn't get soaked.
But anyways I'll ponder whether or not to do it. Since I'm back at work, actually about 3 hrs form "Butt Fuck" BC. Smingus Dyngus is probably a good way for me to be "run off" (sent back to Calgary). And it would be fun to see the face of the DD or the Company Rep when they get douse with water. But since I was off for 5 weeks I should probably not do it since I need the funds.
Yeah... it's because by highschool, we didn't do it really anymore. It was only when I was a kid.... but I love you all so dearly! ANyway, you'll get away with it. Just say it's cultural.
