Ok Ok, so years back, I was watching some Ironman on tv - and I said to my sis - you know - one day, I'm going to run in a triathalon... She snorted to me - you're one of the most out of shape people I know! Well, years later, I took my first step! Today, at the crack of dawn, after nearly missing the start - I jumped into the water, swam 50 meters, nearly puked - remembered my plan was simply to complete the course, and then switched to breaststroke and finished the other 250 meters.. Hauled ass out of the water and into the infamous transition zone, put my helmet on before I put on my t-shirt - sorted that out - laughed - and hit the bike track (12 km)... After much encouraging words were shouted my way by fellow athletes - I finished the bike, and zipped onto the final run (2.5 km)! I coasted through that at a respectable pace - choked on some water - walk don't run when you're drinkin'! And then had enough left int the tanks that I was able to sprint the final 50 meters to the finish line!!! I was pretty happy to say the least - with no training - and actually not having swam in almost a year, I finished the course with some *kick* left for the finish. SO yeah, it was a blast, everyone should do one.
(Pics to come later)

ok ok
So - out of 11 competitors, I placed seventh - I'm happy with that - but what I'm most happy with is my run time! I somehow ran the fourth fastest?! That rules!

By the way, it cracks me up that you start your posts with "ok ok" as if we were in the midst of a discussion or something. Awesome.

yes I would like to see pictures of you worn out, half green and on the verge of puking from olympian physical exertions that I could never be capable of. My athletic success stories are much much much more boring.
