Ahh it went by so fast.
So fast that none of us noticed. But it has come and went, our anniversary. 1st year has gone by for this little old blog. (I believe it is the paper anniversary?) Solely designed so that we wouldn't have to send mass e-mails to each other to keep the others updated about our happenings and where abouts. A lot has happened to our blog and the world itself. Our blog is still on occasion used to update each other, and it is also used to show case funny and interesting things. Like an old couple the anniversary was just another day, for those of you that are interested, it was on the 14th of June. I think that was last Wednesday? Well it's about 10 days late, but happy anniversary to you all and to those that stumble on this blog.

And just for the sake of it. Got an entrance exam monday for work. To qualify for training down in Houston. Exam's probably on Monday but we'll see. Then after the exam it's back to work in the field or maybe I'll be kept in town till I get sent off. The tixs to Houston are already booked and paid for, about $774.83 to fly down.
And here's an entertaining little diddy.

This just came across my desk, sent by the ever lovable Polarslam.
Ever wonder what happened to the Children of the Corn?
Now we know:

Remember how we always wondered if Kit Ro was male or female?
Well, now we have another for the female argument.
<----------
Now we know how s/he did so well in the triathalon.
Dum dum duuuuuuum!
Also the reason why s/he has been slow on the uptake concerning the uploading pics from the triathalon.
More info as the story unfolds......

Ok Ok, so years back, I was watching some Ironman on tv - and I said to my sis - you know - one day, I'm going to run in a triathalon... She snorted to me - you're one of the most out of shape people I know! Well, years later, I took my first step! Today, at the crack of dawn, after nearly missing the start - I jumped into the water, swam 50 meters, nearly puked - remembered my plan was simply to complete the course, and then switched to breaststroke and finished the other 250 meters.. Hauled ass out of the water and into the infamous transition zone, put my helmet on before I put on my t-shirt - sorted that out - laughed - and hit the bike track (12 km)... After much encouraging words were shouted my way by fellow athletes - I finished the bike, and zipped onto the final run (2.5 km)! I coasted through that at a respectable pace - choked on some water - walk don't run when you're drinkin'! And then had enough left int the tanks that I was able to sprint the final 50 meters to the finish line!!! I was pretty happy to say the least - with no training - and actually not having swam in almost a year, I finished the course with some *kick* left for the finish. SO yeah, it was a blast, everyone should do one.
(Pics to come later)

It is with great pleasure that I announce an end to my homelessness! Although it is a bittersweet solace. Despite the fact that I am now sedentary, it seems I am unreachable. Bell has once again proven its incompetence by failing at the simple task of setting up my phone. Under other circumstances this would not be so bad, considering one of the few people that actually calls me is my grandmother who usually just wants to know if I've been eating properly. You can all rest assured knowing I am. But what makes the situation a little difficult is that my lawyer cannot easily contact me. That's right, I have a lawyer, a student lawyer. Her name is Dagmara so I have full faith in her competence.
As yet I do now know how events will transpire. I have not been in court yet. Who knows if the case will even make it court although Dagmara is confident that I have a good case against those treacherous slumlords. For now I will continue to rail against the capitalist corruption that is London and Ontario as a whole. I miss the socialist leanings of Manitoba. Life was so much more peaceful there...
